Homelift Elevators’ revolutionary RailGlider represents a quantum leap in inclined lift technology.
The RailGlider
- Travels up steep slopes of up to 75 degrees (compared to 45 degrees of conventional rack and pinion inclined lifts)
- Adheres to the contour of the land (compared to the conventional rack and pinion inclined lifts which have limited bending scope and can leaving the lift car and occupants sitting precariously metres off the ground)
- Autolevels ensuring the lift car stays stable and constant even though the path and terrain changes
- Is substantially quieter due to its’ cable and winch system which can be located in a sound controlled enclosure at the top of the hill (compared to conventional rack and pinion inclined lifts which has its’ motor noisily clunking up and down the rail)
- Can change direction from left and right to avoid large obstacles like trees and buildings
- Can travel at substantially faster than conventional rack and pinion inclined lifts
- Proven to be both neighbour and local council friendly
